For over 5000 years, wool has been used as a material for people's clothing. In the fashion world, wool is mostly understood to be the fibers from the fur of a sheep. Pure new wool must have been shorn from a living, healthy sheep, streblingswolle and tear wool in contrast not. Due to a high air content, wool insulates and stores the body's own heat and thus has naturally good thermoregulation properties. The material wool is used today for many different garments such as sweaters or scarves.
